What is CO₂NNECT 2024?

CO₂NNECT is an annual conference hosted by the Carbon Action Alliance that focuses on building connections across sectors involved in carbon management. This year, CO₂NNECT 2024 will be held from September 29 to October 1 at Keystone Resort Lodge near Denver, Colorado.

New Tools for Communities

The Great Plains Institute will introduce its Colorado Decision Support Tool for Carbon Management, which helps communities and decision-makers evaluate the social, environmental, and economic factors involved in siting projects. By offering real-time data, it empowers communities to play a central role in these projects.

The tool is modeled after the Louisiana version introduced at last year’s conference and is designed to ensure that carbon management projects are developed responsibly, with local values in mind.

Looking Back at CO₂NNECT 2023

Last year’s CO₂NNECT, held in Santa Fe, New Mexico, brought together over 140 participants from various sectors and geographies. The event emphasized the importance of thoughtful engagement in the energy transition, particularly for communities that have been historically impacted by pollution and industrial development.
